1996 – Basic Research Award United States Air Force
- Acknowledged Nanostructured® Chemical research and development as the Air Force’s most noteworthy basic research program of the year.
1997 – Future Technology Award Marrow Publications
- Picked as one of the important up and coming technologies for the 21st Century.
1998 – Advanced Technology Program Award Department of Commerce, NIST
- This $2 million grant to Hybrid Plastics® acknowledged the significance of Nanostructured® Chemical technology and its potential to significantly impact the US economy.
1999 – Technology Transfer Award Federal Laboratory Consortium
- This Federal Award recognizes those government technologies and their transitioning companies that have the potential of being major commercial successes.
2000 – R&D Top 100 Award R&D Magazine
- Named as one of the globally 100 most technologically significant new products of the year. Now in its 38th year, the R&D 100 Awards have been called both “The Oscars of Invention” and the “Nobel Prizes of Applied Research.”
2001 – CalTIP Award California Technology Investment Partnership
- This $219,000 award recognized Hybrid Plastics® as one of the top start-up companies in new cutting edge technologies within the state of California. Approximately 30 such companies are named yearly. The grant is designed to accelerate commercialization of our nanotechnology.
2002 – Collaboration Success Award Council for Chemical Research
- Industry Award for best collaboration among business, academia and government.
2002 – Best of Small Tech Award Small Times Magazine
- One of five finalists for best Product in nanotechnology, MEMS and microsystems.
2003 – Most Promising Application Award LA Regional Technology Alliance
- Best new product in nanotechnology, MEMS and microsystems.
2005 – POSS® in Strategic Interest of U.S. Presidential Determination
- The President of the United States designated POSS® technology to be in the strategic national interest of the United States.
2008 – International Best Special Event Int'l Economic Development Council
- Hybrid's Advanced Nanomaterials Symposium in 2008 was named internationally as the best economic development event for a community with a population under 200,000.
2009 – Global Customer Service Award Frost & Sullivan
- Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Award named Hybrid Plastics’ customer service as unparalleled in the global high performance fillers market.
2009 – R&D Top 100 Award R&D Magazine
- Received 2nd R&D 100 Award for the Company’s POSS® Flow and Dispersion Aids. Annually recognizing the 100 most technologically significant new products worldwide, the R&D 100 Awards have been called both “The Oscars of Invention” and the “Nobel Prizes of Applied Research.”
