Description
Octyl POSS® is a hybrid molecule with an inorganic silsesquioxane at the core and organic i-Octyl and n-Octyl groups attached at the corners of the cage. HC1019.13 is very stable and does not aggregate nor crystallize.
APPLICATIONS:
Applications include lubrication, gloss enhancement, dispersions, and viscosity reduction. HC1019.13 can also be applied as a plasticizer.
COMPATIBILITY
HC1019.13 is intended to be utilized as an additive. At additive concentrations, compatibility is readily expected with nearly all oils, waxes, and hydrocarbons. Compatibility testing is recommended for higher concentrations. This additive is extremely useful for plasticization and lubrication, modulus build in silicones, and melt strength enhancement in polyolefins.
